BOTOX

The most popular and safest cosmetic injectable in the United States successfully treats wrinkles and facial creases. Botox will cause the injected muscle to relax and reduce the appearance of unwanted wrinkles. Botox is used on forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, lip lines, chin, nose, neck, underarms, hands, etc.

FILLERS

When hyaluronic acid fillers are injected into the skin, it attracts water leaving the skin hydrated. In fact, it can hold up to 1,000x its weight in water – which ultimately leads to the appearance of naturally plump skin. For this reason, HA fillers are commonly used all over the face and are proven to even have long-term, anti-aging benefits. HA fillers can be used in the temples, tear-trough, cheekbones, smile lines, chin, jawline, and lips.

Biostimulators are a class of minimally invasive injectable medications that work by stimulating new tissue growth. They work through enhanced collagen and elastin production and can be tailored to your aesthetic goals. Results are achieved through various injection techniques and can be used for both the face and body. The two of the most popular biostimulators are Sculptra and Radiesse

Sculptra is a dermal filler that does more than just fills the face. This procedure uses poly-L-lactic acid which stimulates collagen and elastin production. This provides a smoother, fuller appearance to the skin for a longer duration of time.
Sculptra can be injected all over the body for volume loss and restoration.

Radiesse is thicker than most fillers and uses Calcium Hydroxylapatite to provide immediate volume restoration, but also stimulates collagen growth. Not only will you receive immediate effects, you will also continue to see long term correction to wrinkles, lines, and folds. Radiesse can also be injected in different areas of the body to correct volume loss.

2-3 sessions of Sculptra and/or Radiesse may be needed to receive optimal results. The effects of biostimulators can take up to 4-8 weeks. Results may vary from patient to patient.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is blood plasma, which contains various types of Growth Factors, which promote tissue healing and regeneration. PRP is created by drawing the patient’s blood and spinning it in a centrifuge to be left with your very own “liquid gold”. PRP can be injected directly into the skin or scalp to help with wound healing, skin rejuvenation, and hair loss. It is also a wonderful add-on to any laser or microneedling treatment for optimal results and faster healing.

PRP is great for
– Hair Loss/Regrowth
– Correcting The Appearance of Skin/Undereyes
– Faster Healing Post Procedure
– Tissue Rejuvenation

Multiple sessions may be required. Results vary from patient to patient.

Hyaluronic acid fillers are the most common type of dermal filler. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in our body that resides in our skin, between our muscles, and our joints. HA fillers are used to subtly enhance facial features and retain moisture in the skin. They are also designed to replace lost volume in the skin due to aging and/or weight loss. Dermal fillers can be injected all over the face, common areas including the lips, mid/lower face, jawline, and cheeks.

CN Medical Aesthetics & Wellness, we carry a variety of filler families, including Juvederm, Restylane, and Prollenium products. Your provider will go over your treatment goals and choose the appropriate products tailored to your needs.

Unlike dermal fillers, neuromodulators don’t “fill in” wrinkles or lost volume. Neuromodulators are used to treat “dynamic wrinkles”. By acting as a temporary “muscle relaxer”, neuromodulators will help to improve the appearance of fine lines/wrinkles in areas with common dynamic movement, such as the forehead, glabella, and crow’s feet. Over time, they can help to soften facial creases and prevent permanent wrinkles. They can also be used to treat hyperhidrosis, as well as TMJ issues.

At CN Medical Aesthetics & Wellness, we carry a variety of neurotoxins including Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin. Your provider will go over your treatment goals and choose the appropriate product just for you.

FAQ

Botox is a purified protein derived from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. When injected in small amounts into specific muscles, it temporarily relaxes them and smooths out wrinkles and fine lines.

Fillers are substances that are injected into the skin to fill in wrinkles and restore volume to the face. They are typically made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that helps maintain skin elasticity and hydration.

The effects of Botox typically last for three to six months, while fillers can last anywhere from six months to two years, depending on the type of filler used and the area treated.

Botox and fillers are generally considered safe when administered by a licensed and trained medical professional. However, like any medical procedure, they do carry some risks, such as infection, allergic reactions, and bruising.

Botox is commonly used to treat wrinkles and fine lines in the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the eyes. Fillers can be used to restore volume to the cheeks, lips, and under-eye area, as well as to fill in deep wrinkles and creases.

There is typically no downtime after receiving Botox or fillers, and patients can usually resume their normal activities immediately. However, some minor swelling, redness, or bruising may occur at the injection site.

The cost of Botox and fillers varies depending on the type of product used and the area being treated. Generally, the cost ranges from a few hundred to several thousand dollars.

Some common side effects of Botox and fillers include swelling, redness, bruising, and mild discomfort at the injection site. Rarely, more serious side effects such as infection, nerve damage, or allergic reactions may occur.

Prior to your appointment, it is recommended that you avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements, as well as alcohol and caffeine. You should also inform your provider of any medical conditions or medications you are taking.
