Types of Restylane® & their uses

- Personalized consultation with a licensed injector to assess your goals and create a custom treatment plan. (10-15mins)
- Take pictures to track progress. (5 mins)
- A topical numbing agent is applied if needed to ensure comfort. (Each product contains lidocaine, a built-in numbing agent, to help ensure a comfortable experience.) (20-30 mins)
- Restylane® is then carefully injected into target areas. (~30 mins)
- Pictures again to assess injection placement and compare to previous pictures. (5 mins)
- After-care instructions explained and provided.
Results
Restylane® delivers immediate, natural-looking results, with full effects becoming more noticeable 2 weeks following treatment as swelling subsides. Depending on the specific product used, treatment area, and individual response, results can last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years.
To maintain your desired look, regular maintenance treatments may be recommended.
All filler appointments include a complimentary 2-week follow-up appointment to assess how the filler has settled and make any touch-ups if necessary.
It’s important to note that, as with all injectable treatments, results vary from person to person. Supplemental ‘touch-up’ treatments may be required to achieve and maintain optimal correction of wrinkles and folds.
Downtime & side effects
Restylane® is FDA-approved and considered safe when performed by a trained medical professional. Like all injectables, minor side effects can occur, including:
- Temporary redness, swelling, or bruising
- Tenderness or firmness at the injection site
- Lumps or unevenness (usually temporary)
- Rare but serious risks like allergic reaction or vascular complications
- Downtime includes swelling or bruising for a few days after treatment.
